Vizcayne Towers: Illuminating Miami’s Skyline with LEDCTRL

The Vizcayne development, comprising two 49-story residential towers, overlooks downtown Miami with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay. To refresh the iconic look of these towers, Clear Control provided a significant lighting upgrade using over 1 kilometre of pixel LED neon. This upgrade replaced the aging and failing traditional lighting system, introducing vibrant, energy-efficient RGBW LED technology.

Installed in time for the 2020 Super Bowl, the new lighting transformed the towers into a dynamic visual landmark, enhancing the skyline for one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Using LEDCTRL software, Clear Control achieved full creative freedom with the pixel LED neon, enabling customisable displays and animations that bring the building’s façade to life. The new system offers flexibility, allowing for themed lighting effects that celebrate Miami’s culture and special events throughout the year.

The customised LED neon solution ensures consistent brightness and durability in Miami's challenging coastal climate, making the Vizcayne Towers an enduring symbol of the city’s architectural innovation. This project not only revitalised the building’s appearance but also provided a sustainable lighting solution with significantly reduced maintenance needs.
